{"id":740,"date":"2020-12-22T15:57:46","date_gmt":"2020-12-22T15:57:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aiuks.com\/?page_id=740"},"modified":"2020-12-22T15:57:46","modified_gmt":"2020-12-22T15:57:46","slug":"inspection-body-accreditation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/aiuks.com\/index.php\/inspection-body-accreditation\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00bb Inspection body accreditation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Inspection body accreditation<\/strong> (ISO\/IEC 17020)<\/p>\n<p>AIUKs provides ISO\/IEC 17020 accreditation to organizations performing various types of inspection, surveys and risk assessments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engineering Inspection (including Pressure Systems, lifting equipment\/Hoists, electrical installations, power presses, local exhaust ventilation, cargo \/ pre-shipment inspection, manufacture of boilers \/ pressure vessels, welding inspections, oil and gas metering)<\/li>\n<li>Building and Construction Products<\/li>\n<li>Food Inspection (food safety, food hygiene, manufacturing and processed practices, cargo inspection, animal welfare, labelling)<\/li>\n<li>Asbestos Surveys<\/li>\n<li>Legionella Risk Assessments<\/li>\n<li>Health and Social Care<\/li>\n<li>Care Home Inspection<\/li>\n<li>Nuclear New Build Inspection<\/li>\n<li>Fire Protection Systems<\/li>\n<li>Crime Scene Examination<\/li>\n<li>Railway Competence<\/li>\n<li>Plant Health<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Technology Verification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Accreditation Type<\/p>\n<p>AIUKs accredited inspection bodies are classified into three types (Type A, Type B and Type C) based on the inspection body&#8217;s relationship to the parties involved, its organization structure, and its responsibilities and ownership. Type A bodies provide third party services; Type B bodies are separate and identifiable entities, and can only provide inspections to its parent company. Type C bodies are identifiable entities but may not be a separate part of the organization. Type C can also supply inspection services to parties other than the parent organization.
